Before the Studio, There Was a Story.

Some stories begin with an ambition. Ours began with a family, a love of craftsmanship, and the quiet belief that beautiful things are worth creating with care.

Long before Ramon Bennett Interiors came into being, the foundations of the studio were taking shape in Salvador, Brazil.

They were not laid in an architectural practice or a prestigious design showroom, but in the world of bespoke furniture-making, where ideas were translated into drawings, timber was shaped by skilled hands, and every piece carried the unmistakable character of its maker.

At the heart of that story was Márcia Ribeiro, Ramon's aunt.

Craftsmanship

Márcia's journey into craftsmanship began alongside her then-husband, whose knowledge of joinery had been passed down by his father. Their early years were defined by resourcefulness, perseverance and a determination to create beautiful things with the means available to them.

Márcia brought something distinctly her own to the craft: an instinctive talent for drawing, an artistic sensibility and a remarkable ability to imagine what did not yet exist.

This was a time before inspiration could be summoned instantly onto a screen. Ideas had to be sought, studied, sketched and developed. Each commission demanded ingenuity, patience and an intimate understanding of how something imagined might eventually be made.

Over more than three decades, Márcia's knowledge grew far beyond furniture design. She became deeply involved in the technical development, manufacturing and installation of bespoke joinery, acquiring the kind of expertise that cannot be learned from books alone.

It is knowledge earned through experience, through problem-solving and through the countless details that separate something merely well-designed from something exceptionally well-made.

That legacy remains an essential part of the studio today.

Our Especification & Delivery

Years later, Mariana Figueiredo, Ramon's sister, made a decision that would bring a new dimension to the family enterprise.

After a decade working in law, she stepped away from an established professional path to join her aunt in the business.

She entered a world very different from the one she had known, yet brought with her skills that would prove invaluable: an understanding of contracts, organisation, professional relationships, commercial responsibility and the importance of delivering on a promise.

Where Márcia had spent years mastering the art of making, Mariana brought structure to the processes that supported it.

Together, they strengthened a business built on technical knowledge and craftsmanship, developing relationships with architects, designers and clients who valued bespoke work.

Neither could have known precisely where that journey would lead.

A Home That Changed Everything

Meanwhile, Ramon's path had taken him far from Salvador.

He had built his adult life in London, studying human & Medical sciences, then law, before eventually finding his professional calling in psychotherapy.

Although these disciplines may appear distant from interior design, they shared a common thread: an enduring curiosity about people.

Their histories. Their motivations. Their relationships. The things they express openly and those they struggle to put into words.

In 2020, during a period of profound change around the world, Ramon returned to Brazil and began developing his own home.

For the first time, the family's different forms of expertise came together around a shared residential project.

Márcia brought her experience in bespoke furniture and technical execution. Mariana contributed her organisational and commercial perspective. Ramon brought a creative vision shaped by years of travel, an appreciation for art and interiors, and a professional life dedicated to understanding human behaviour.

It was, at first, a personal project.

Yet something important happened along the way.

What they were creating was more than an attractive home. It was a space that reflected a particular life, its memories, preferences, habits and aspirations.

The experience revealed how naturally their individual strengths complemented one another.

And, as others began to seek Ramon's perspective on their own interiors, what had started within the family gradually opened into something new.

Three Perspectives. One Shared Vision.

The evolution into Ramon Bennett Interiors was not a departure from the family's history, but a continuation of it.

The craftsmanship remained. The technical knowledge deepened. The experience of managing complex work became an increasingly important part of the process.

To these foundations, Ramon brought an approach to design informed by psychology, attentive listening and the belief that truly personal interiors cannot emerge from aesthetics alone.

An object may be beautiful, but its meaning belongs to the person who treasures it.

A room may be perfectly composed, but its success is ultimately measured by the life that unfolds within it.

Understanding those distinctions has become central to the studio's philosophy.

Today, Ramon leads the creative direction, his aunt Márcia oversees technical development and craftsmanship, and his sister Mariana brings structure and coordination to the work that connects vision with delivery.

Their roles are different, but their commitment is shared.

It is the confidence that comes from working with people whose abilities you know intimately, whose judgement you respect, and with whom you share something more enduring than a professional relationship.

Rooted in Family. Open to the World.

Working between London and Salvador, Ramon Bennett Interiors draws upon two cities that have profoundly shaped its identity.

Salvador is where the family story began: a place of craftsmanship, cultural richness, history and belonging.

London has shaped Ramon's international perspective, his professional formation and his appreciation for the dialogue between tradition and contemporary design.

Together, these influences inform a studio that values provenance as much as possibility, the individuality of collected objects as much as the precision of bespoke work, and the enduring beauty of spaces that are unmistakably personal.

The studio's ambitions continue to grow, but its foundations remain unchanged.

An aunt who devoted decades to mastering a craft.

A sister who brought her own expertise and chose to help build something together.

And a nephew and brother whose journey through different professions eventually led him back to a shared family endeavour.

Three journeys, brought together by a common belief: that the most meaningful things we create are those that carry something of who we are.
